Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) has published, on the website of the Belgrade Stock Exchange, “information about the current circumstances”, after the trading of its shares was temporarily stopped on Tuesday.

As reminded in this information, on Friday, January 10, the introduction of sanctions against NIS by the United States of America was confirmed.

– NIS is carefully considering all the details regarding the published information. At the same time, NIS will remain focused on preserving the stability in the local market of petroleum derivatives. The supply of the chain of the gas stations of NIS is regular at the moment. The Pancevo Oil Refinery is operating normally, delivering all the necessary petroleum derivatives to the market – NIS says.

The company’s operations, as added, remain largely unhampered for now.

– We will continue following the current situation and adapt our operations to each potential scenario – they point out at NIS.

They also note that, in the case of new significant circumstances which could affect the operations, NIS will announce new information.
