Public Debt of Serbia at End-2023 at 52.3% of GDP

The public debt of Serbia at the end of 2023 was around EUR 35.15 billion, which is 52.3% of the gross domestic product (GDP), announced the Ministry of Finance. At the end of November, the public debt was at EUR 35.62 billion, that is, 51.5% of the GDP.

The public debt of Serbia at the end of 2022 amounted to EUR 33.33 billion, or 55.1% of the GDP.


The budget deficit was RSD 179.3 billion, which is 2.2% of the GDP, and compared to the original budget, which had planned a deficit of RSD 264 billion, the result was better by RSD 84.7 billion, the Ministry of Finance says.
