The Serbian Business Registers Agency has published the “Report on the TOP 100… Companies in 2022”, with the top 100 lists of companies per operating income, net profit, operating property and capital, net loss and overall loss.

The most profitable and successful company is Naftna Industrija Srbije, followed by Serbia Zijin Mining, Serbia Zijin Copper, Telekom Srbija and SCM Power. Successful and highly profitable companies, as per the operating income, with big financial capacities, are Srbijagas, Delhaize Serbia and Tigar Pirot.

The company with the biggest losses is Elektroprivreda Srbije, and of the public enterprises, there are the Roads of Serbia, GSP Beograd, JP PEU Resavica, JP Elektrokosmet.

– Although the business environment was under a strong influence of political and economic tensions, followed by a crisis in the supply of energy sources and an accelerated inflation, the trend of the growth of the local economy continued, along with an increase in profitability, and the hundred companies with the biggest operating income and the hundred companies with the highest net profit considerably contributed to this – the SBRA says on its website.

In 2022, the hundred companies with the biggest operating income realized 29.9% of the operating income of the entire economy, and in the main financial performance, they participated with 28.5% on average, while employing 15% of the total number of workers in the economy.

The list is dominated by big systems (98), which realized 98.6% of the operating income of the companies from the list. Of the observed hundred companies, the majority is credit-ready (62), with 35 having a good credit rating. The majority of the companies from the list (88) was among the hundred leading companies by operating income in 2021 as well.
