A leakage has been discovered in Poland on one of the two Druzhba pipelines, the main route for oil supply to Germany, announced the Polish operator of the Druzhba pipeline, PERN.

– Late this Tuesday, the PERN systems detected a leakage on the Druzhba pipelines, on one of the two strands of the western part of the pipeline, around 70 kilometers from Plock – the operator says in a press release.

Druzhba is one of the largest pipeline systems in the world and is the biggest route for the supply of oil from Russia and Kazakhstan to sites in Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Austria and Germany.

The report of the leakage comes in the wake of the attack on the other massive pipeline system Nord Stream, which happened in September.

The explosions damaged Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 at the time, which led to a rapid pressure drop, as reported on the Telegraf website.
