Looking for Designer for Second Section of Nis-Plocnik Highway

The PE Corridors of Serbia has opened the tender for the preparation of the urban project of the E80 highway from Nis (Merosina) to Plocnik (Beloljin), Construction Phase 1, Section 2 (km 5+670 – km 14+300) and the preliminary design for the purpose of obtaining the location requirements.

The value of the job is close to RSD 10 million, and the tender expires on January 26.

Let us remind that the job of the construction of the first section of the Nis-Merdare highway was awarded this September to Strabag and that the construction started in December.

The Nis-Plocnik section within the Nis-Merdare highway will have six tunnels, 12 bridges and a large number of overpasses, underpasses and viaducts, due to which it is split into four subsections.

These are the Merosina-Merosina 1 Interchange (5.5 km), Merosina 1 Interchange- Prokuplje Istok Interchange (8.8 km), Prokuplje Istok Interchange-Prokuplje Zapad Interchange (12.8 km) and Prokuplje Zapad Interchange-Beloljin Interchange (5.5 km).

At the opening of the works on the first section, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that the highway section to Prokuplje should be completed in around two and a half years, RTS reports.
