Money in Real Estate Market in 2021 Amounts to EUR 6.1 Billion – Increase by 47% Compared to 2020

The total amount of money in the real estate market in 2021 was EUR 6.1 billion, which is an increase by 47% compared to 2020. The total number of signed sales and purchase agreement in 2021 amounted to 138,180, an increase by 28% compared to 2020, says the press release by the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA).

In 2021, the share of payments for apartments from loans amounted to 34%, an increase by 1% compared to 2020, and the total share of payments from loans for all real estate in 2021 amounted to 15%, which is an increase by 1% compared to 2020.

It is added that, last year, the sale of apartments increased by 28% compared to 2020, whereas the amount of money in the market increased by 43% compared to the same period. When it comes to the sales and purchase of houses, compared to 2020, the transactions increased by 32%, whereas the amount of money in the market, in this segment, increased by 50%.

The sales of office space increased by 42% compared to 2020, whereas the amount of money increased by 45%.

As for construction land, the sales increased 40% compared to 2020, and the amount of money in the market grew 66% compared to 2020. The lowest increase was recorded in the sales of agricultural land, 12%, whereas the amount of money in the market increased by 14% compared to 2020.
