Tender for the design and construction of the railway bypass around Nis to be announced on September 5

The delegation of the European Union and the PE Serbian Railway Infrastructure have announced a tender for the reconstruction and modernization of the railway bypass around Nis on the Nis-Dimitrovgrad railroad for September 5.

The previous notification stated that the construction, reconstruction and modernization of the electrification subsystem of the Nis railway bypass (about 28 km) is planned on the TEN-T Core network.

Works at the location around Nis to the Sicevo station on the existing railway line will include the design and construction of the Nis railway bypass (22 km) and the reconstruction and modernization of the railway section connecting Crveni Krst station with the new bypass (6 km).


Plan also calls for the reconstruction and modernization of traction substation "Nis" (110/25 kV).
