The City of Belgrade and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have again announced a tender for the Krnjaca wastewater treatment plant, due to, as stated by the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic during the morning program on TV Prva, clauses on increasing the price of work.

- No application was submitted at the previous tender, although 38 domestic and European companies bought the documentation. The contractors were afraid that due to the war in Ukraine and the rise in the prices of construction materials and labor, they would start a job that should last 30 months, and on which only a ten percent increase in the price was allowed. Now the EIB and the City of Belgrade have changed this provision in line with the new European practice in crisis and the decisions of the City of Belgrade. Interested bidders can submit applications until August 2, and the tender is conducted on the basis of an agreement concluded by the City of Belgrade with the European Investment Bank for the construction of a sewer on the left bank of the Danube - said Vesic.

The tender includes the design and construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Krnjaca, with planned capacity expansion in the future. The factory will carry out all the processes necessary to achieve biologically correct standards for the discharge of treated water into the Danube - Beoinfo reported.
