The City Administration of Vrsac has put the Detailed Regulation Plan of the vineyard complex on the Vrsac Mountains up for an early public review.

The investor in the plan, which was prepared by the Urban Planning Institute of Vojvodina, is the company Swisslion d.o.o. Beograd.

The aim, as said, is to promote the Vrsac Mountains area through various forms of tourist offer, from wine and sports and recreation tourism, through cultural-event tourism, to ecological and hunting tourism.

The plan encompasses 37.08 hectares which belong to the investor.

In addition to the existing vineyards, the plan for an area of around 24.21 ha is to also build an aqua park, outdoors and indoors sports courts, an eco-resort, with “green” villas and apartments, as well as a representative castle for wine events.

In the aqua park zone, the construction of several outdoor pools with a rough surface of 2,600 m2, hospitality and auxiliary facilities, as well as areas for rest, play and sunbathing, is planned. The planned capacity of the aqua park is 2,600 visitors.

The sports and recreation zone entails the construction of an indoors Olympic pool and a multifunctional sports hall, outdoors tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, wellness and spa centers, cafes, saunas, gyms… on an area of 7,500 m2.

The sports complex will also have a part for recreational activities, such as walking, cycling, horseback riding and nature walks. The development of cycling and trim tracks is planned for that purpose.

The construction of villas and apartments of the ecological type, that is, so-called “green houses” on 6,000 m2, with 100 beds, is planned in the zone of the eco-tourism complex.

The castle is a special zone unto itself. As said, this zone would play the leading role in promoting wine tourism of the Vrsac Mountains.
