South Backa District Features Most Expensive Farming Land – Prices Lower in South and East Serbia

The Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) of Serbia has published a report from the real estate market for the third quarter of 2021, according to which the most expensive farming land is located in the South Backa District, at a price of EUR 31,250 per hectare.

In the North Backa District, the same area cost EUR 9,900 to 16,700, in the West Backa District, the maximum prices are increasing, so the most expensive farming land has been estimated at EUR 24,200, whereas the cheapest is EUR 9,350. The South Back District traditionally has high prices of land, so interested agriculturists need to set aside at least EUR 11,350 per hectare.

As for Banat, the situation is slightly different. In the north, the price of a hectare ranged from EUR 7,800 to 16,150. In the Central Banat District, the prices are slightly lower – EUR 7,250 to 15,650. In the south, they are higher, ranging from EUR 7,400 to 21,800.


In Srem, there is more demand for farming land, which is reflected in the prices. An area of one hectare cost EUR 8,700 to 23,250.

The range of prices is slightly wider in Sumadija and West Serbia – EUR 3,650 to 21,700 per hectare. In South and East Serbia, the prices are even lower, with farming land costing EUR 2,950 to 19,500.

In the Belgrade region, one hectare cost a minimum of EUR 4,600, whereas the maximum price was EUR 26,500.
