German company Fischer Automotive Systems has opened a factory in Jagodina where it will produce car parts and additional equipment for high-class cars. The investment is worth around EUR 40 million, and 350 employees will work at the production hall of 8,000 m2.

Fischer commenced production in Jagodina in late 2020 at a rented hall of Visokogradnja Inzenjering, where it employed 100 workers.

The company also has factories in Germany, the USA, China and the Czech Republic, where it employs around 5,200 workers.

Fischer exports to 120 countries, and its production program is meant for car manufacturers from Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen groups.

Last year, Fischer Group had a turnover of EUR 872 million.

This is the fourth foreign factory in the industrial zone in Jagodina. Previously, three companies from Italy built their factories there.
