Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia has confirmed its “silver status” and received another two points, making it eligible for a new model next year.

In the recently finished World Class Manufacturing program, the company confirmed its “silver status” and got another two points.

As Glas Sumadije reports, they now have 68 points and are two points away from the golden status that the leading Fiat factories have.

It is certain that the Kragujevac plant will win the golden status next year.

The very fact that the company has kept the silver status and gained another two points shows that the management of FCA counts on the Kragujevac plant, which should, with the expected golden status, be licensed to produce a new model in 2020.

This year’s production at FCA Serbia will end on December 17, and there will be another 15 work days at the factory until then, due to the harmonization of the production to the market demands. It is now certain that, in 2018, a total of around 60,000 cars will be produced at the Kragujevac plant, which is 10,000 vehicles less than last year. The plan for the next year has not yet been announced.
