Fiat's factory in Kragujevac might be put in charge of the production of the new B-SUV model of this Italian company, Auto Blog reports.

Fiat will be another brand to leave the MPV segment in Europe, the portal writes and adds that the current 500L from the B-MPV segment will be replaced with the new model from the B-SUV segment.

Fiat thereby follows the example of Citroen, which has made a similar switch by replacing the former C3 Picasso with C3 Aircross, or Opel, which has replaced Meriva with Crossland X.

Fiat will present this new B-SUV in the next two years. Like 500L, it will be produced in Serbia. Fiat will thereby increase its production in Kragujevac (seeing how the sales are expected to exceed those of 500L), while simultaneously expanding its offer in the increasingly more popular B-SUV segment, as the 500X model remains in the gamma phase.
